A special autumn equinox edition of our bundle dyeing workshop, marking the shift from summer into autumn.

To mark the autumn equinox, this workshop will begin with a small seasonal ritual centered around balance, transition and the changing of the seasons. We’ll gather from a table of autumn botanicals, choosing leaves, flowers and natural dye materials to create a personal botanical harvest to bundle into our textiles.

In this intimate workshop, you'll be introduced to the art of eco printing, a botanical printing technique that captures the natural shapes, markings and pigments of plants directly onto fabric. Through personal guidance and hands-on experimentation, you'll learn how leaves, textile, heat and mordants work together to create beautifully detailed prints that can never be replicated.

No previous experience is needed. This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone looking to reconnect with making by hand.

During the workshop, you'll discover:

• The principles behind natural dyeing and botanical printing

• How eco printing works

• Which leaves and botanical materials produce the most beautiful and reliable prints

• How mordants and different treatments influence colour and definition

• How to arrange botanicals to create thoughtful compositions

• How to bundle, steam and reveal your eco prints

• Tips for caring for naturally dyed and printed textiles

You'll leave with two naturally eco-printed pieces to take home:

• One cotton scarf

• One cotton tote bag

Each piece will be completely unique, carrying the shapes, veins and natural markings of the plants you choose throughout the workshop.
