Have something you would like to bring into colour? The atelier takes on custom dyeing projects, commissions and small production runs using plant-based dyes and natural processes.
This can range from individual garments and textiles to interior pieces, artist materials or a carefully developed colour palette for a larger project. Together, we look at the material, desired colours and intended use to find an approach that suits the piece.

Sanctuary Atelier collaborates with artists, designers, brands and creative spaces on projects where natural colour becomes part of the story.
This might take the form of a capsule collection, naturally dyed materials for an artwork, an installation, an event or an experimental colour study. Rather than working from a fixed formula, each collaboration is developed around the materials, ideas and context of the project.

Private workshops can be organised for friends, celebrations, teams, creative groups and retreats, either at the atelier or at another location. Depending on the occasion, we can explore techniques such as bundle dyeing, immersion dyeing, botanical printing or the foundations of working with natural colour.

For artists, designers and makers who want to go deeper into natural dyeing, the atelier offers individual guidance tailored to your practice or project.
Sessions can cover the foundations of scouring and mordanting, working with particular dye plants, developing colours, choosing fibres and processes, troubleshooting, or exploring how natural dye techniques can become part of your own artistic practice.
